Started kex windowed without sudo, with sound: Sudo apt install -y kali-win-kex dbus-x11 x11-apps Sudo apt autoremove -y & sudo apt autoclean -y Reinstalled win-kex using these instructions:Īfter all of this, it still was not working, so I uninstalled and reinstalled kali win kex: (I did the above for both entities of vcxsrv.exe, the kali one and the windows one) Click the General tab and select the Allow the connection radio button.Click the Advanced tab and check the public box.Click the Programs and Services tab to make sure this program is "\wsl$\kali-linux\usr\lib\win-kex\vcxsrv\vcxsrv.exe".Select vcxsrv.exe (There may be 2 instances: 1 for video and 1 for sound.Windows security center (as it's disabled by default on win11).Enabled these additional windows features:
